The Burned Tomorrows

Shadows have gone dark, the doors have slammed hard
Footsteps have hollow sounds, clouds had not been loud

The rhythm of my life muddled along with my dreams crashed
You were never mine, and I’m stranger to this so called crowd

Eminent imperfections yielding off guard yet the hell again
Tormenting wows and egos to the wonders of great sorrows

In the grim of worthless promises I trusted love to be true
Trench of perfidy you carry, certainly burned all tomorrows

Sway passion slow to capture the little scattered emotions
I squandered my delights on slightest of your hoax notions
